Rereading Watership Down is like visiting old
friends.  There is Hazel and her brother
Fiver, the seer, trying to lead the clan away from danger.  Bigwig, Dandelion and Bluebell believing in
Fiver’s vision follow him on an arduous journey to their new home. The story is
set in the Berkshires with a colony of rabbits. 
This is not just a cuddly bunny tale; it reflects classic struggles and
is told with an almost mythical manner. 
There is drama, bravery, and evil, all the main ingredients for a great
story.  The rabbits face a long trek with
many dangers before finding home in a new land.
