Jo Dereske

Jo Dereske writes a lively mystery series set in Bellehaven (Bellingham) Washington. Bellingham Washington is a gorgeous setting and Dereske uses it well. Helma Zukas likes everything in its place; proper order followed, and might just be a teensy bit tightly wound. Helma is a librarian; wanting the books in proper order is an excellent idea for a library. Helma's best friend Ruth is an artist who thrives on chaos, Ruth is pretty sure things do not posses places and proper order should be vehemently avoided. Yet the two women have been life long best friends. There is humor, affection, and a good plot in Jo Dereske's mystery series. This is a prefect series for those days when you want to sink down in a comfy chair and really enjoy a nice mystery!
