Craig Johnson

If you ever have a chance to hear Craig Johnson speak go! This man is not only a witty, thoughtful, skillful author he is a crowd pleasing speaker! He was born to tell stories, and he does it well either in print or in person. Craig writes a mystery series set in small town Wyoming. Sheriff Walt Longmire tries to keep the bad guys off the street aided by his best friend Henry Standing Bear, a very smart Indian, and his sharp tongued deputy Vic (short for Victoria). Truth be told, Walt is probably more afraid of Vic than the bad guys. Craig Johnson counts John Steinbeck, Wallace Stegner, and George MacDonald Fraser among his favorite authors. It shows in his writing. Expect witty repartee, finely crafted plotting, and beautiful prose.
